Healing Hands of Joy
Healing Hands of Joy is currently raising funds to implement our pilot project in Mekelle, located in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. We anticipate traveling to Ethiopia in June of 2010 to open the pilot project center and begin working with former fistula patients. Resources are needed to hire a project director, midwives, secure a training and housing facility for the women, and to design and implement our training program. Donations of any amount are appreciated and are tax deductible. Yes! I want to support Healing Hands of Joy and help open the Pilot Project Center in Mekelle, Ethiopia and bring hope to Ethiopian women who have suffered childbirth injuries. My gift will support and empower these women through training that will allow them to offer vital services for improving maternal health in rural Ethiopia. A gift of $600 will feed and house 12 women for a month. A gift of $500 will pay the monthly salary for a midwife. A gift of $125 will pay one month’s rent for our facility to house and train the women. A gift of $250 will provide agricultural training for one woman. A gift of $100 will purchase a bed for the center. Those who donate $1,000 will be recognized on our website as a Pilot Project Supporter. Gifts of $2,500 or more will be recognized on our website as a Pilot Project Founder.
